RV Tips and Advice

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:20 am

My goal with these RV tips is for you to find many, if not all of these tips to be helpful. Hopefully, one or more of the RV tips will make all of your RV experiences safe, fun & stress free.

* If at all possible try to avoid using an extension cord when making electrical connections at the campground. The gauges of the wire used in standard household extension cords are not suitable for RV electrical hook-ups. Eventually you will be put in a situation where you will need to use an extension cord. It is a good idea to purchase an RV extension cord that is compatible to the electrical system of your RV, and have it on hand. If you do purchase an extension cord somewhere else it should be at least 10-guage wires.

* Electrical adapters are a necessity for RVers. Eventually you will be in a situation where you have to use some type of electrical adapter to make a connection at a campground. It may be an outdated campground or isolated area that only provides 15 or 20-amp electrical service. There are adapters that will go from your RV type plug and size down to household type outlets and adapters that go from household type outlets to campground RV connections. It’s nice to have these adapters on hand when you need them, but you must exercise caution when you use them. If your RV is a 30-amp or 50-amp system and you use an adapter to plug the RV into a 15 or 20-amp outlet this severely limits what you can operate in the RV. The roof air alone will draw up to 15-amps when it initially starts. If you place too much of a demand on electrical adapters, or use them for extended periods of time they can overheat and melt resulting in damage to the RV power cord or electrical system.

*Take updated photos of you pets with you on trips. If they should get lost you can use the pictures to assist in finding them.

* If your RV is equipped with a generator, at a minimum, it should be exercised for 30 minutes to an hour on a monthly basis with at least a half rated load. Consult your generator owner’s manual for load ratings. If your generator has a carburetor and it is not exercised on a regular basis the fuel will begin to gel around the jets. If this happens and you manage to get it started it will have that all too familiar surging sound. It can damage electrical appliances and equipment not to mention the cost of having the carburetor removed and cleaned. If the generator will be in long term storage you can add a fuel preservative to the fuel tank and run the generator long enough for the preserver to get through the fuel system. This will protect it until you are ready to use it again.

*Every RVer should invest in some type of digital voltmeter that plugs directly into an outlet in your RV. There are several types available and they are inexpensive compared to the repair costs for damaged electrical equipment and appliances. Many of these monitors are capable of measuring AC line voltage, generator frequency and testing polarity at the campground before plugging your unit in. Campground electricity can fluctuate depending on the demand placed on it. By monitoring the AC voltage throughout your camping trip you can protect thousands of dollars worth of electrical equipment and appliances in your RV. If voltage drops below 105-volts or goes above 130-volts you should turn equipment and appliances off until the correct power is restored.

Good Perception

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:18 am

Let’s address the truth of God about our existence. It’s in
the spirit of the teller (God/Instructor) one knows the truth.
Perception is the key to understanding the story. The story
states God lived in a heaven. God state in this heaven is the
prime thought of the story. The truth with the facts establishes
the story of God. The story is clear without confusion. The
reality of perception is the facts detailed of the story in
proper sequence. The thought of angel there in existence becomes
the logical argument. God created the heaven and the earth there
in the host of angel existence.

God is portrayed as an
Instructor to the host of angel in the story. The heaven is
defined by God as the cut of the waters. God made two
heavens/cuts of the waters. The host of angel and adam occupy
these worlds. Angel told Moses this fact of God. Angel existence
is with God prior to the creation of the earth. God came unto
the host of angel. God acts of formations in the world of angel
created the heaven and the earth. God is not alone in
nothingness. Angel existed prior to the earth
formation.

God fact is in the story. Like the factor of
angel telling this truth to Moses. The story holding to its
statement none have heard or seen God who dwell on the earth.
It’s even stranger with the thought of the angel talking to
Moses as the one we came to call Jesus. Jesus as God instructing
Moses of the origin of adam. Jesus fulfilling his acts
accredited to him by God in the Garden of Eden. Angel heaven
established the condition of the creation in this story. Angel
states God coming into the fact of their world. God in his world
becomes active. God outside of other personal interest, in His
world, took notice of the host of angel.

What are you
seeing when you read the creation? How are you defining the
statements of its initial formations? Is the heaven you see the
one above your head with the stars?

The angel story
states a heaven not seen in the world of its host. This heaven
was the world of God. God exist outside the world of others.
These others are the host of angel and adam in the story about
God. Here in this truth is the sequence of the story statements.
[First set God the waters and the host]. Better known as, “In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”. The story
account of God is a witness of His act by angel. As mentioned
God define the heaven.

Angel as the teller of the
creation account to Moses starts this story of the earth
formation. The story relates the life of angel prior to the
formation of the earth. The story tells of a formation in the
world of angel. A new heaven came to be known to angel. The host
called this heaven the deep. The darkness made this heaven known
to angel. The act is a world with a smaller one both inside the
heaven of God. Sound like three heavens to me. God act which
exposed the waters and cut them into division. The story states
the earth is a thought of others by the host of angel. The host
defined by the host of angel was not a fact. This host/to become
created earth was without form and void. The reader
correct sequence of the story fact reflects the Spirit of God.
The story has the reality of God by angel. God created in their
world. Angel tells of an imagined host. The host was not a fact.
The story sequence relates the deep. The new wonder is in the
world of angel. This new pause generates reactions in the world
of angel. The sequence comes to the one who moved on the
darkness of the deep. This one among the brethren of angel had a
truth. The brethren of angel denial of this one member acts took
sides. The story relates this happen to this one member of angel
twice. This one was rejected by the host of angel and adam. The
story sequence states God spoke against those events by angel.
God said, Let there be light.

God path can hold abundance
or death to your existence. The angel spoke to Moses about God
in the bush. The one member of the host of angel who carries the
word of God to adam. The one we nailed to the cross. The story
of God creation account is not a thought of simplicity. There's
so much there and missing from our realities of the existence.
More there then one can comprehend about life and its existence.
Good perception is lies are not in every story. The meek shall
inherit the earth. Doubt cast a state in any story. The reader
best bet is to rely on the teller of the event.

If, God
spoken words is in behalf of the one in the host of angel? Will
God speak out, after the rest of the seventh day, of this same
one in the host of adam?

May we all grow in the wisdom
and prosperity of God will,

Why You Should Consider An Acer Laptop

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:57 am

Why Acer is the laptop manufacturer you should consider? Seems like you can’t log onto your computer, open the Sunday circular, or drive down the road without seeing an advertisement for one laptop manufacturer or another, but what makes one any better than another? I do not enjoy looking for a laptop for just that reason. I usually advise people to first check out the individual manufacturers to see if what they have to offer is going to work for your needs, and that goes for anything you may buy. Acer is laptop is definitely one manufacturer you should look into when it comes time to make your laptop. By taking a look at Acer as a company and a maker of laptops, you can begin to decide if that is who you want making your laptop.

When looking at any laptop you are probably concerned with two main things: the price and the quality. Acer laptop, in tems of sales, is one of the top five companies in the entire world, which should tell you that they are doing something right. Acer markets themselves as a company that can offer you IT solutions, including the laptop you are looking for, whether you are a company, a large corporations, or an indivdual. It was in 2000 that Acer laptop came to the forefront because that is when Acer decided to push an overall marketing campagne on gaining a global label. The company as a whole has been around since 1975 and so is well established. Today they do several billion in business each year, and a large chunk of that is due to Acer laptop sales and leases.

By knowing that Acer is global, well established, and built on the idea of solutions, you know that an Acer laptop is at least worth a look as you try to find the right one for you personally or your small business. Check out their website to get more information or contact the company directly to see exactly what they have to offer you in the way of Acer laptops.

The push toward a global presence that Acer moved toward in 2000 included a big push in Acer laptop sales and services, which is good for you if you are indeed in the market for a laptop. As part of the push, Acer has begun to enrich their overall ability to enact solutions; they have also been able to improve themselves to where they not offer the highest level of customer service and tech support, which is also important to you as you consider an Acer laptop.

When you decide to make that next laptop purchse, at least consider an Acer laptop. You can tell a lot about what a product will be like by finding out about the company that makes them. As you can tell, Acer is a company committed to expansion, improvement, and giving technical solutions to businesses and individuals. Do your homework, but make sure that a long look at Acer laptops is part of your process.

Hiring a Human Resources Consulting Firm Could Significantly Improve How Your Business Operates

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:10 pm

Human resources consulting firms have been helping companies for years training employees. Many firms advertise on the internet. When a company needs help in conflict resolution, time management, and other human resources responsibilities, they find a firm that will conduct a one or two day seminar to teach the human resources department new skills that will benefit the company. Human resources consulting can breathe new life into any human resources department.

Here are three companies I have researched that provide Human
Resources consulting. There are many others out there but these three appear to provide the most complete services for your human resource department’s needs. This way, both management and emplyees benefit.

HRC Consulting services, www.hrc.com, has been conducting seminars for over twenty years. They are a group of well-trained speakers and teachers that can offer advice to human resources departments on everything from employee issues, to writing handbooks that everyone will understand.

They can teach people how to effectively communicate with employees. Human resources consulting like HRC can change the way human resource departments share pertinent information with employees. They will teach people how to write effective memos, letters, and training manuals. They will also teach how to update existing manuals. HRC is also available to train people how to use payroll software and improve labor tracking.

Paul Hilton Human Resources Consulting, LLC, www.paulhiltonr.com, is another human resources consulting firm with over twenty-five years of experience. This group can teach human resource departments by first conducting an audit of their current system of operations. Then they will offer suggestions which can be in the form of seminars or one on one conversation.

They can also teach how to write effective handbooks. Paul Hilton Human Resources Consulting also works with human resource departments on issues that dominate their company. Individual attention is paid to problems the company is encountering or has encountered in the past. This type of human resources consulting pinpoints specific problems and tries to solve them through additional training.

Frederikson Human Resources, www.fredhr.com, offers courses in human resources and management. These courses are more specific in nature, but deal with current issues facing most departments. This human resources consulting approach is gaining in popularity because people want to take classes to improve their understanding of human resources and how to make the department more efficient.

Human resources consulting firms can take a look at a human resources department and be able to suggest where improvements can be made. This is very beneficial to everyone involved in the seminars and also to employees who depend on human resources. Firms like the ones mentioned above can be found in any town and online. It is useful for companies to pay for human resources consulting every few years in order to keep people informed and exposed to latest human resources operating standards.

South Africa – No 1 Golf Destination?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:20 am

As courses in Europe and the USA become more exclusive and expensive, South Africa, an overnight flight with no jet lag, offers a great new alternative for a winter break. Cape Town has seen a huge increase in tourism and has more recently been ranked in the top ten most popular cities in the world.

As a PGA professional Brendan has played many courses around the world for both business and pleasure but Cape Town is the destination he has chosen for a second home. As a golfer access to and quality of courses was a critical factor in my selection. Having produced some of the best players in the world South Africa has a great history in golf and has much to shout about. New courses, sponsored and designed by some of the biggest names in the game are opening up on monthly basis. This only goes to reinforce the country’s commitment to become a number one golfing destination.

Some of the most stunning courses are in and around the Western Cape and Cape Town provides the ideal base to explore these. You can play on the links course at Atlantic Beach with Table Mountain as your backdrop, or drive down the kikuyu fairways at Stellenbosch, the winelands on your doorstep beckoning you to call in for a tasting on your return from the 18th.

The courses are uncrowded and are all generally available to visitors. You will find the locals welcoming and willing to cater to all your needs. Caddies, usually a luxury even to the best of us, are widely available and provide not only invaluable advice on how best to play the course, but give you a unique insight into the culture of this diverse nation.

Brendan’s personal favourites and not to be missed on any visit to this great city are Royal Cape which is a majestic park land course and oldest golf club in South Africa dating back to 1885. Erinvale which has held The SA open for a number of years. Designed by Gary Player, it is a great test of golf for all standards with stunning scenery. The type of golf course that even if you don’t play your best, you still can’t help having a great time. Another one not to miss out on would be Clovelley. It is a very picturesque and challenging course. Despite being relatively short in modern day terms, it still offers a great test and is one of Nick Price’s favourite courses.

Further afield, but still within a two hour drive of Cape Town is Arabella Golf and Country Club, a six star hotel with championship course and Spa. This Peter Matkovich designed course encompasses mountain backdrops, lagoon frontage and forests that provide natural corridors to savour the natural beauty of the Klienmond estate. It is challenging enough to bring you back for more but enjoyable enough to make you not want to leave

Ou Baai, the Ernie Els signature course at Herrods Bay close to George, with spectacular views across the Indian Ocean will add to the world class courses on this coast, and no article on golf in South Africa would be complete without due reverence to the five outstanding courses at Fancourt, host venue to the recent Presidents Cup, where the rest of the world managed to hold the USA to a draw. In this respect only, do the South Africans fall slightly short of European achievements.

Brendan’s home, which is available for letting throughout the year has superb accommodation for golfing parties and can be found on Worldwide Holiday Homes (Property Ref 155025) and offers full details of the villa, and location along with rates for rental and photographs.

Brendan is also available to host tours of the Cape courses and provide valuable tips on improving your game and how to best avoid loosing your balls to the local wildlife. For further information on Pro escorted tours he can be contacted on through the advertisement.

You can visit our site by visiting Worldwide Holiday Homes where you will find a wide range of self catering accommodation from around the World.

Making A Living In The ‘New’ South Africa

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:13 am

Nowadays with the limited job market and affirmative action making it extremely difficult for South Africans of all races to find employment, the Internet offers a new alternative to making a living.

For people who are unemployed, retrenched or for those simply looking to supplement their income, starting an online business can be an excellent option.

Some of the benefits of starting an internet business are as follows;

• Start up capital requirements are extremely low depending on what your plans are.

This means that the waters can be tested before committing fully.

• All that is needed to start is a computer and an internet connection

In order to get started it is not a even prerequisite to layout money for a website and hosting and so on. There are quite a few credible options, which the internet entrepreneur can exercise, to build a totally legitimate online concern.

• Internet entrepreneurs work the hours they choose and therefore an internet business can even be run in one’s spare time.

• It can be managed from home, the office or anywhere in the world for that matter.

The importance of this is huge as it means that the business can be fully ‘transportable’ and in most cases will retain its marketability anywhere.

Therefore whilst making a living online is certainly an option for those who have access to the internet and the rewards can be extraordinarily high, not every internet entrepreneur will reach those heady heights.

To establish and grow an online business into a successful and lucrative concern, one needs to employ all of the generally accepted business principles in terms of product, niche marketing, etc, however being given a few pointers, tips and help would go a long way to giving the budding internet entrepreneur a decent head start.

To this end Online Synergy has recently launched their home business site http://www.income.za.net that provides many articles, tips and internet businesses to help the internet Entrepreneur to establish their own successful online business.

Rebates: Savings or Scam?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:03 pm

We’ve all had our issues with rebates. Remember the time you purchased that “free” product from Comp USA or Circuit City who then promised you would get your money back? What an easy purchase! But, did you know that the majority of folks never redeem their rebates? If you really ever did get that check in the mail, you’re one of the few savvy consumers out there. If not, I want to let everyone in on how to ensure they’re going to be getting the savings they signed up for. Get out a pen and pencil; this may require a little work.

I’ll be honest; I’ve always had a problem with rebates. I’m a consumer aware of the price I’m paying, constantly wondering if my purchase is legitimate or there’s some hidden agenda motivating the seller. Rebates seem to fit the bill of a scam. After all, who wants to give something away for free, and how can you make money on that? While rebates can seem promising on the surface, they rarely pan out. According to Peter Kastner, executive vice president of Aberdeen Group, only 40% of consumers submit rebates they are entitled to, 40% submit the rebate and successfully get a check, and 20% have problems. You think they want you to redeem that rebate? Think again.

But despite the difficulties of rebates and the burden to redeem, they do offer an opportunity at great savings impossible to find elsewhere. A couple items of due diligence are required when using these cheap discounts. But first let’s explain some of the deception involved.

At the outset, merchants hope you won’t bother. It takes a lot of work to redeem a rebate, so be prepared. In addition, the redemption process is made to be complicated. Who owes you your rebate, the retailer or the manufacturer? And the tediousness in the process will make you so fed up you’ll forget about your savings or give up in the process, taking the loss as a learning experience.

OK, so we know rebates are difficult at best. But what if everyone turned them in and was willing to follow up on all the problems that can be involved? I’ll give you a hint, these retailers would lose money, and rebates would end. But that’s not the case: rebates grew from 1 billion to 4 billion dollars from 1999 to 2003, and they continue on today with a presence in the online discount shopping arena. Learn how to take advantage of these savings and you’ll be adding to your online shopping smarts.

1. Look at who’s issuing the rebate, the manufacturer or the retailer? Manufacturers often use rebates to remove excess inventory or to clear out products for the latest models. If it’s a retailer who’s offering the rebate, and what’s their true motivation? Why aren’t they just offering a sale? These retailers are really just playing the odds hoping you won’t redeem your savings, so be aware.

2. The paperwork: Be sure to keep receipts, UPC codes, and sometimes even a cutout of the product picture or text on the box. Read the fine print on the rebate form (don’t leave the store without this) to know exactly what to send in. Be sure to fill in every field, don’t leave your email address blank, your form could be rejected on a technicality! A hint is to set up a separate free email address at hotmail for a lot of you ‘potential’ spam mail. This address can not only be used for rebate forms but for online newsletters as well.

3. Keep good records. I’d suggest marking the deadline for the rebate on a calendar, and then the date they state the rebates will be sent out – if it’s 8 weeks after the deadline, mark that. Make copies of all receipts and UPC’s before sending in your information. Be sure to take care of all of this within a few days of purchase, many times the rebate does not depend on expiration but on a date that can be only 7 days after your purchase!

4. Don’t be afraid to call. Oftentimes I’ve found the only way to get my rebate is to call, with records in hand, to explain my situation. I NEVER leave my rebate to chance, because I know I’ll eventually forget! After all, that’s what they expect!

Nowadays, I’ve resorted to using savings I can realize at the point of purchase, and no longer rely on rebates for my bargain hunting. Since most of my shopping is done online these days, I’m resorting to online coupons and coupon codes where I can verify the savings before checkout. Am I getting the best deal? I think so; I never was one for paperwork.

Gary Gray, of http://www.couponchief.com, is a bargain finder and deal hunter. Coupon Chief provides free discount shopping deals and coupon codes to help consumers save money online at nearly every store – before checkout! No hassles, no worries!

Prepare A Winning CV

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:15 am

There is every chance that elements of this article may not be appropriate for everyone in every situation – and that’s precisely the point! Every situation is different. No two projects are the same. No two Curriculum Development Specialist roles are necessarily identical, but for name. Context, duration, region, sub-sector and many other factors are likely to create requirements that are unique, even when very similar. So a standard CV, or your most recent one with a date change is not necessarily the best one to submit – and I would contend, never the way to approach submitting a CV within a project.

Take for example how many large project management companies deal with CV’s
and their database of consultants. Advertisements on their websites, in
development magazines and in newspapers and other media often call for
‘experienced’ persons to register interest for involvement across various sectors.
Some such firms have an online completion process, which facilitates the database
search functionality, and others accept traditional CV style submission. It is very
unlikely that this CV will be used without modification in a tender submission.

Why?

As introduced, CV’s seldom serve multiple purposes to the same degree of success.
Your CV to an organisation to gain registration on their database should be tailored
to the requirements of that firm’s request, and for the express purpose of making
sure that when they are searching for your expertise they find you. [Remember that
last month I wrote about promoting yourself, and made the point that if you only
submit a CV, you are probably not doing enough - visibility, communication etc
needs also to be incorporated into your strategy].

So what needs to be done?

Each time your CV is put in for a project, it should be tailored to the exact
requirements of that project, including tailored to the selection criteria and with
consideration for the other team members to demonstrate breadth and balance
within the team.

But, this takes a fair amount of time.

Yes it does! And, it is time that requires input from you, the individual, as well as
the firm pulling together the tender submission. Other than the obvious business
development imperatives in preparing the best possible CV, we are not being honest
to the cause, not taking seriously enough the importance of the project we are
tendering for if we do not invest the time to really consider why we have the right
team, and how to demonstrate that. The CV is a key tool to demonstrate higher-
level understanding of the project’s unique requirements.

So, how do we approach this?

Once you know the format, or requirements, then some basic principles can be
followed, including:

• Identify the key selection criteria and ensure the CV specifically addresses and/
or demonstrates achievement against each

• Identify specific role requirements within the project and emphasise relevant
examples in the CV

• Consider specific project risks and identify ways to demonstrate through the
CV that by choosing this person [team] these risks are nullified

• Identify project key success factors and key outcomes targeted, and emphasise
similar achievements

• Follow the concept where possible of “what it was like; what I did; what it looks
like now and why it is better” to demonstrate impact and value in past roles and
experiences

• Consider a summary section, at the beginning, to emphasise suitability for role
[maintain formatting compliance obviously]

• Use ‘achievement’ language – led, developed, implemented, managed etc

• Maintain readability – short sentences; only information that is necessary to
demonstrate appropriateness; white space on paper; colour etc

• Make sure someone other than the individual and the ‘author’ reviews the CV
for quality.

Many agencies calling for tenders where a CV is required often ask for information
in a set format – actually, many times they ask for specific information, not always
in a set format. This is an important distinction, as it gives some freedom to where
information is placed in the document, such that you place your most important
information where it will be read early. Never lose sight of the fact that the CV is a
selling document.

The beauty of approaching the CV this way is that the CV often provides an
opportunity to extend the technical submission, which is usually bound to a page
limit, by incorporating, emphasising or reiterating key points.

Finally, I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the pre-submission quality
review, and this is equally important for the CV. Have we got the best team? Have
we really demonstrated competence against each criterion? Does the CV read as
though it is part of the broader tender submission? Is there anything we have
missed?

The right team can be a bid winner – certainly worth the time and investment to
ensure their CV leads to this result.
