Get ‘em Clicking with Good Ad Copy!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:20 am

Never mind if you haven’t had good response from your ads in
the past. That doesn’t matter. You can learn how to write
an ad that will have people clicking their little fingers off! I’m
going to teach you how to do that right now.

We all know how important the headline is. We also know it’s
the hardest part of the ad to write. So we’re going to leave
that until last. Know why? Because you can spend so much
time creating the perfect headline that you never get to the
ad itself. Besides that, if we leave it until last we’ll be writing
a headline that goes with the ad, not an ad that goes with a
headline.

Okay, so what’s our first step going to be then? We’re going
to define our ideal customer, get inside her skin and find out
who she is, what she’s looking for, what she wants. This is
very important because if we don’t have this information, who
are we going to write our ad to? Are we just going to send it
out into cyberspace with no destination in mind? Not if we
want response we aren’t.

Now that we know who we’re directing our ad to, the second
step is to list all the ways our ideal customer will benefit from
the program, product or service that we’re promoting. Notice
I referred to benefits, not features.

The Focus is on Benefits . . .

There is a big and important difference here. Benefits tell
people “what’s in it for them”. Benefits tell them what they
will gain from your product. Features, on the other hand, are
things that describe your product.

For example, let’s pretend that you’re promoting cell phones.
A feature of the cell phone is that it has an extra long-lasting
battery. A benefit of the phone is that the purchaser can
talk longer with her pals without having to worry about the
phone dying.

Another feature might be the unique design. The
corresponding benefit would then be that, not only can you
talk longer, you’re more comfortable while you’re talking.
Benefits are things that appeal to the emotions and that’s
usually what makes a person buy.

Okay, now we know we have our list of benefits. Next, we’re
going to choose which benefits to focus on. If we’re writing
a small classified or ezine ad we’ll choose only one benefit and
concentrate on that. With longer solo ads we could choose
several benefits. We’re going to write an ezine ad today but
the same guidelines apply to any ad you need to write.

Write like you talk . . .

If we want our ad to be interesting we need to write in terms
that everyone can understand. Leave all the $50 words in
the dictionary and just use a conversational tone. We aren’t
writing the ad to impress people with our vocabulary; we’re
writing it to appeal to their emotions. A stiff, formal tone isn’t
going to do that.

So . . . we’re going to write like we were talking to a friend.
We’re going to use short, punchy sentences and omit any
words that we don’t positively need. Remember, we only have
a few lines to convince our ideal customer that she wants to
click on our link and learn more. We have to choose our words
carefully and make each one of them count!

Don’t use an ad to sell your product . . .

The purpose of the ad is just to get our ideal customer to our
site. We aren’t trying to sell her on our product ~ that’s the
job of the sales page. We’re simply putting her in a “buying”
frame of mind. We’re creating interest and leaving her wanting
to find out more about our product. That is the sole purpose
of our ad.

Just start writing . . .

Now we’re ready to start writing. The best way to do that is
just to start writing without thought of how it’s going to sound,
spelling, puctuation or any of that stuff. We’re just going to
write down what comes into our minds. Okay, ready?

We might end up with something like this:

If you want to talk all night with your best friend, you don’t
want to worry about the battery on your cell phone dying. You
want to know that you aren’t going to miss all the juicy details
of her dinner date with a new guy. You want the confidence
that you won’t lose your connection in the middle of her story.
That won’t be a problem with the new XYZ cell phone. Check it
out here and see how it meets your needs.

Go back and polish it . . .

That isn’t a bad start. Now we have something to work with.
We’re going to pare this down, punch it up, polish it and see
what we have.

Don’t you just hate it? Right in the best part of the story
your cell phone dies. Now you won’t have to worry about
that happening ever again. Now you know you’ll decide when
the story ends, not your cell phone. Find out more today.

Well, that isn’t too bad but we still have to cut it down more
and liven it up some.

Don’t you just hate it? She was going to tell you . . . and
your cell phone died! Don’t put up with it! If you want to
hear the end of the story every time — find out more now!
http://www.xyzphone.com

Can you see the difference? The sentences are short and
snappy. We’ve created interest. We’ve told her we’re
going to solve a problem for her but we haven’t told her so
much that she doesn’t have to visit the site to know what
we’re all about.

I’ve simplified this a little. Sometimes you have to write and
rewrite a few times before you have exactly what you want.
It may take a little time but the end product will be worth it.
You’ll have an ad that will make people want to click on your
link and learn more about your product. They arrive at your
site already thinking you can solve an annoying problem for
them. Your ad has done it’s job.

And finally . . .

Okay, it’s now time to go back and find a headline for this
piece of art! Can you see that it’s easier to create a
headline now than it might have been at the beginning?
And . . . the content of your ad is finished so that takes
some of the stress away.

Try out a few different headlines and choose the one that
you believe to be the most magnetic. Put yourself in your
ideal customer’s shoes and imagine what would appeal to
her the most. You get the idea, don’t you?

Let’s just pretend that we’ve made our list of possible
headlines. We want one that is short, catchy and fits our
ad. How about this one? “It was just getting good when …
or “Don’t miss the best part!” Then there’s “Hang up when
YOU’RE Ready!” Now you have lots to choose from and once
you make your final choice you’re finished. Or, are you?

Always, always, always proofread your copy . . .

There is nothing that will ruin the impact of an ad quicker
than errors in spelling, punctuation or grammar. You have to
find all of the errors and typos before you send that ad out!
Don’t just rely on spell check either. If you misspell a word
it won’t be caught if the misspelling is actually a word – even
though it wasn’t the word you wanted to use. For example,
maybe you typed “hear” when you meant to use “here” – it
won’t be caught! Go over those ads with a fine-tooth comb
or, better yet, have someone else read them too.

There you have it . . .

Now you know how to write copy that works. You can apply
everything you’ve learned here (and hopefully if was a lot) to
any ad you write. And don’t worry, as with any skill, it gets
easier with practice.

Just one word of warning . . .

Please do yourself and your business a favor and become
familiar with the FTC guidelines for advertising on the Internet.
Make sure you know them and that you follow them. You can’t
afford not to! Keep your ads and your web pages honest, cut
out the hype and half-truths ~ if you don’t, you may not have
a business to promote!

Now go out there and knock ‘em dead! I’m expecting great
things from you!

10 Tips For Creating Better Sales Presentations…

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:17 am

Selling is easier when you back up your words with strong visual proof.

No matter what your business is, you will enhance your level of success by developing a well-organized sales presentation. A good sales presentation involves two primary elements:

(1) The pre-planned sales talk. (2) A carefully conceived and organized visual presentation that documents, confirms, supports, and strengthens the oral.

Your visual aid can take a variety of forms. It may be a multi-page flip-over type with elaborate charts and graphs, extensive artwork, color photos, and other attention getting devices. It may be a computer driven multi-media event or a simple on-line presentation from a laptop. Or, it can be a basic set of 8 1/2 X 11 loose-leaf pages that can be arranged to fit diverse selling situations.

Presentations, whether professionally designed or home made, are a vital component of your selling process. Why? Confucius put it this way: “In all things, success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.” First prepare. Then sell.

Here are ten tips for selling better with prepared presentations.

1.Plan Ahead. Advance preparation is nine-tenths of the sale. Be sure you are organized and equipped to talk, show, and sell. Know all you can about your prospect before you make the presentation. Tailor your products/services benefits to solve your prospects’ problems and fill their needs and desires.

2.Make A Great First Impression. A clean uncluttered sales presentation, like an artist’s creation, is a mirror-image of your character, personality, and attitude.

3.Be Clear. Be Logical. Be Brief. Don’t be brief at the expense of being misunderstood. Clarity starts with you. Clear answers to your prospects overriding question… What can you do for me?…will lead to understanding and sales.

4.Maintain Control. Never sit between two buyers. Don’t let the prospect read ahead or thumb through your visual aids until you’re ready for him to. Ask the prospect to instruct his secretary to hold all calls during your presentation. (It takes guts to sell.)

5.Seek Change of Pace. Put bounce in your voice. Change pace, tempo, and volume. Ask lots of questions. Get verbal confirmation of agreement at each stage of the presentation.

6.Prepare For Interruptions. Don’t be flustered or thrown off balance. Expect interruptions and use them to summarize key sales points.

7.Involve The Prospect. Give the prospect something to feel, handle, manipulate, examine. Let the prospect mentally take possession of your product or service.

8.Gauge Your Progress. Progress should be measured in terms of understanding. No understanding…no sale. The more the prospect agrees with you, the more progress you are making.

9.Give A Complete Sales Talk Every Time. Your presentation must perform four important functions: (A) Win the prospects attention, (B) hold his interest, (C) persuade and convince him of the rightness of your proposition, and (D) prove that a buying decision is a logical step for him to take.

10.Seek A Buying Action…Expect To Close. A good presentation naturally leads to a buying decision. Make it easy for the customer to buy. If your prospect was properly qualified and your sales presentation on target, you will find the selling process goes quickly and easily.

Super deal 12500 dollar at a proficient loan rate of 5.4 percent

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:59 am

A bank in Jefferson City Missouri or so can have a total completely different actual rate for a 35000 dollar deferred payment then a moneylender in Hammond Indiana and that makes a big clear difference in your monthly pay backs.

At present you can check into rates of interest quickly at websites and escort if there are possible sneaky traps you should be aware of. 14.6 percent rate of interest may appear so equitable but will that be ceaseless after you have to refund your credit loan. You should be impertinent today to investigate if you have a super bargain or if you don’t with the merchant bank that offers you a loan. It doesn’t matter if you live in Apple Valley California or in Baltimore Maryland a solid online check up will excuse you often a lot of anguish. Lots of of the moneylenders wil show you a interest rate that is looking sightly but feels badly or so after some time. This is the reason why now you need to check over and pick up if you can have a credit loan at a honorable percent loan rate. Check out to see if the moneylender who is willing to give you a bank loan is honorable.

Collecting Neat Stuff

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:19 pm

I have been pretty lucky in my life; I have been able to travel some of the coolest and rich culture countries in the world. It really is a neat feeling when you are in cities like Florence Italy staring at a sculpture carved by one of the greatest artists of history Michael Angelo. In these travels like all of the other travelers in the world, I have bought a lot of stuff to bring back home as gifts and stuff for my self to remind me of that trip, as a memory. I have also started three different types of collections all oriented with the geographical aspect. The first are just simple key chains that have different flags or cities from places visited. The second are mini-sculptures, like the Eiffel Tower, The Pisa Tower, and the Big Ben from London. The third is really very simple but it’s my favorite, I think because I have an immense love for what goes in there every morning, coffee, along with my favorite weight loss product Acceletrim. I am collecting Starbucks Coffee mugs from all of the cities that I am able to find when abroad and traveling in the U.S. It is really a lot of fun to sit there in the morning and drink my favorite cup of coffee in a mug from Barcelona, I can’t help but to travel back to that trip and smile a couple of times, it really gets my day going a positive mindset.

Writing Well– 6 Steps to Being Your Own Best Editor

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:00 pm

One of the first important lessons a writer learns is that writing is a process, a series of steps that take an idea from concept to completed work. This is true whether the work is an article, a poem, a report, a short story or a book. Understanding this process — and the role a writer plays in it — is crucial to their success.

One of the most important steps in this process is learning to look at one’s own work objectively. To focus on the intended message and ensure that it is delivered properly. While that may seem obvious enough, as the work progresses, it can become blurred. As the old song goes, “I have so much to say; but the words get in my way.” To clarify that ‘blurring’ effect, it is essential to be able to edit your own work. But how does a writer edit their own work? While the process may vary depending on the writer, there are six steps that are integral to editing.

1) COMPLETE THE DRAFT Novice writers should not attempt to edit as they write. Even experienced writers, who learn to smoothe over the copy as they go, know this is not editing and must wait for that separate step later on. The most important point of a first draft is to simply get the idea on paper, in whatever fashion that’s comfortable for the writer. An outline is helpful and can serve as a rough draft for smaller projects. But if that format seems too limiting, just write out the first draft, understanding it is only the first go-around.

2) WALK AWAY Even if it’s only for a long enough period of time to get a glass of water. With longer projects, try to lengthen the time to a few days or weeks. This step allows the writer to gain perspective by “stepping back”. Mostly, it allows the writer time for the subject to settle in their mind, plus it gives them time to mentally shift gears from writer to editor.

3) ASSESS OBJECTIVELY While reading over the copy, the writer must learn to view it as a reader. One should be neither overly critical, nor overly attached to certain pet phrases or side remarks, but simply read it as if reading it for the first time. When done earnestly, this will make any errors, flaws or awkward points more apparent.

4) BE BRUTAL This is the most difficult step, especially for the young or insecure writer. Heck, it’s tough for the pros. Think of the classic image of an editor– from the old Superman comics, for instance, wielding his red-ink pen with flourish, only interested in the facts. Especially when writing articles or in business, this is your best ally. With this image in mind, really look at what is necessary to make a logical progression. One trick is to put yourself under an artificial word restriction. Nothing helps cut unneccesary copy better than a specific word limit.

5) CRISP, CONCISE, CLEAR These are the “3-C’s” of good writing. While each writer has his/her own way of expressing themselves (and, in the case of fiction, more latitude is acceptable), these three points are integral parts of any successful writing.

CRISP – A fresh or meaningful viewpoint. Take a stand. The purpose of writing is to say something– so say it!

CONCISE – Do not wander from the point. At least, not without a reason that directly relates to the original idea.

CLEAR – Make a steady progression from beginning to end. Don’t leave major gaps in the progression.

Whether a report, a novel, an essay or an article — even in poetry or song — this rule applies. While editing, a writer must ask themself if the work succeeds in these three areas. If it doesn’t, WHY? Analyze when and where it strays, even if that means working backward to the beginning.

6) PERSONAL WEAKNESS Just as an athlete must learn to be aware of any physical weakness and compensate for it, so a writer must familiarze themself with their own bad habits or tendencies. A classic example is when a young writer masks their insecurity with a flourish of fancy words. But each writer has their own faults and must learn to guard against them. For example, when I was young, I had a nasty habit of using at least three adjectives whenever I described something. Eventually I saw this as the annoying flaw it was, and learned to choose the very best adjective and commit to it. Seeing this habit as a flaw was difficult. But it made me a stronger writer.

And that is the entire purpose of learning to edit one’s own work: to grow and strengthen as a writer.–mo

The Power Breakfast

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:44 pm

Everyone talks about the Power Lunch, but a good variation is the Power Breakfast. The main aspects of a business lunch, or a business breakfast are enjoyable conversation, business discussion, and agreement. The sharing of food is a minor ritual that binds people.

I needed to present a plan of action for a prospective client, who was also a friend. We had already met in his office once and I had been looking over material from his business for my proposal. I suggested a Saturday breakfast. He agreed.

We met at one of my favorite little restaurants. Unfortunately, “little” was a problem. I arrived twenty minutes early to get a table. This restaurant doesn’t take reservations. I was third on the list. By the time my client arrived there was still one couple in front of us waiting for a table. I quickly looked around at the diners. Some hadn’t even been served, yet. I suggested we go somewhere else. I was disappointed, because he had never eaten there before. I wanted to share this culinary delight.

We went to a larger restaurant. We ordered and began talking. We just talked about fun things and laughed. Eventually we talked about theatre. Musicals, plays and live entertainment are a mutual passions. After we finished our meals (I picked up the check) we began talking about the proposal over coffee.

I wasn’t looking to sell him anything. We were both looking for ways that we could work together. He is a vice president with a company that purchased his successful business. He had a meeting later in the week at the other end of the country with the company’s president. He wanted to present my information. He wanted to pitch it so it was accepted. He asked for some additional tools, which I promised by Monday (and delivered).

At the end of breakfast it didn’t really matter if that particular proposal got approved or not. Somewhere in the future we will be working together. We’ll probably have to have breakfast at my favorite “little” restaurant, however. We’ll just come a little earlier.

Selling – Remember These Ten Rules and Succeed

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:15 pm

There are thousands of books and seminars on how to succeed. What many don’t make explicit is the requirement to be a great salesperson – even if you’re selling an idea!

Here are the ten simple but powerful rules that will guide you in all your selling decisions.

* Helping. Get into the mindset of respecting and helping the customer. The hard sell today does not work.

* Knowledge. Know your product/service, customer and industry inside out – be able to answer almost any question.

* Benefits. Think of how each of the features of your product/service can benefit the customer and always mention that first – right at the beginning.

* Presentable. Be neat, presentable and clean and that includes smelling good too. Dress as the audience expects.

* Rehearse. Practice your presentation over and over gain. Use audio and video tape, do it in front of the mirror and ask friends and colleagues to offer suggestions. Do not underestimate this.

* The 70 – 30 rule. Listen more than you talk – ask questions – find out customers concerns so you can ease them away.

* Enthusiasm. Show enthusiasm, energy, friendliness and professionalism and show confidence in the product/service. Mention nothing negative – even if the weather is lousy.

* Easy. Make it easy to handle, try, test the goods or services and then make it so easy to buy.

* Boldness. Ask for the business.

* Friendly. People buy from people. Never argue or make the customer look silly. Here’s a list of some of the things that annoy your customers:

+ Spread himself out in my living room
+ Used the toilet and didn’t lift the lid
+ Had smelly breath/ body odour
+ ried to pressure me
+ Didn’t listen to me
+ When I said it wasn’t for me she insisted
+ Tried to convince me I was wrong
+ Talked down to me as if I was stupid or inferior
+ Hinted that I was stupid for not seeing the value of what he was offering me
+ Avoided answering my questions
+ Kept saying bad tings about other companies
+ Went over to my bookcase and took down a book and made some comment
+ Kept talking about his children
+ Didn’t have an order form needed to progress the sale
+ Was too smarmy – kept using my name all the time as a sales technique
+ Spoke too quickly and didn’t give me much time in the car – felt we had to hurry
+ Made me feel I was bothering him – that I was interrupting him

Of course you don’t do any of these!

What is a Free Traffic Exchange?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:04 am

A free traffic exchange offers webmasters the ability to promote their websites or affiliate marketing campaigns for free, or at very low cost. The idea is to surf around other members websites, and for each viewing, you get so many of your own URLs and banners added into the rotation for other members to view. There are hundreds, if not thousands of free traffic exchanges online today. The trick is to find the ones that work best for you. Not all free traffic exchanges are created equal and the most active ones are not necessarily the best ones for your needs.

Free traffic exchanges are a great marketing tool for a variety of reasons. The most obvious reason is that you get lots of people looking, and hopefully clicking on your website or promotional pages. But there are hidden benefits to free traffic exchanges you may not have even considered.

Search engines love free traffic exchanges because of all the incoming and outgoing links they generate. Plus the rapidly changing content is another reason the search bots love these things. Exchanges that have more content also generate a higher pagerank, and therefore more traffic, and increased memberships. The key is to find exchanges that are very active and have lots of members. The more members they have, the more potential customers you get looking at your offer and your chances for sales conversions are that much better. But bigger isn’t always better.

Some free traffic exchanges may convert sales like crazy for one person, and be a complete waste of time for another. If everyone were promoting the same website or affiliate program is the same traffic exchange for example, then chances are you would not make many sales. Even if you were promoting the #1 thing on the internet, if everyone promoted the same program, your chances are much lower that someone will purchase through your website or link to make you any money. Also, when people see the same ad over and over again, they get desensitized to it. Don’t fall into this trap. It’s one thing to try and sell a very popular product/service/ebook etc, but it’s another thing when a million other people are trying to do it too. Competition is a good thing, because it validates your market, but too much competition is tough and it’s time to move on to something else.

We all know clicking on ads in a free traffic exchange can be very boring, monotonous and can take a lot of time. That’s why you need to make the best of your opportunity or you will just be wasting a lot of your time and effort on something that just isn’t working. If you have your own niche website, then you already differentiated yourself from the pack. If you are an affiliate marketer, then you need to find products/services that everyone else isn’t promoting, especially within that particular traffic exchange.

One way to use free traffic exchanges to your advantage is to join a few at first, and see if your sales pick up. If your sales aren’t doing well, then test out a few more. When you do find a few traffic exchanges that appear to be generating sales for you, then narrow those down until you find the one, or two that are working. Now concentrate your efforts on those because they’re the ones you want. At least for now anyway. Things may change, so keep an eye on your campaigns and if sales seem to be falling off, then it might be time to change your offer or find another traffic exchange that could pick your profits up again.

As I mentioned, your individual promotion is everything. If you’re trying to promote something everyone else is, I don’t care what traffic exchange service you’re using, your sales conversions are going to be very low, or nothing at all. You cannot always blame the exchange. Sometimes you have to look at yourself and think if you’re doing all you can to make sales.

If you’re going to be using multiple free traffic exchanges, and I recommend that you do, your first priority should be to pick up a multi-tab web browser. Many of these browsers are free and run on PCs and MACs. The tabs feature allows you to have one web browser open with multiple tabs each going to a separate website. You could easily put 5 or 6 of your free exchange sites in these tabs, and earn credits for all of them at the same time. So instead of surfing for 1/2 an hour or an hour earning 200 hits for one exchange, you could earn 200 hits for 5 exchanges in the same amount of time. This is a huge time saver and multiplies your earned hits by 5X or 6X.

Getting free traffic to your website is a lot of work. If you don’t have the money to spend on full blown PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns like Google AdWords, free traffic exchanges are a great way to get the traffic you need.

Procure Men’s Swimwear Online

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:10 am

At present numerous people prefer procuring their swimwear on the Web; purchasing online is a trouble-free and fitting way to shop in the comfort of your own living room.

It’s important to make sure whilst getting swimwear on the Web that it fits you correctly. When you acquire swimwear on the World Wide Web always ensure that the store provides a good quality sizing diagram that gives all of the measurements you need. With the use of a sizing chart one can make sure to obtain a swimsuit or bikini that fits rightly, as a result reducing the necessity to switch for another size. Most of the online swimwear retail stores don’t provide an exchange of goods therefore it is always better to pick an online store where exchanges are allowed. Some online stores will accept the returns of swimwear if the tags and the original wrapping are also returned along with it. Find designer lingerie and swimwear brands from around the world at Becheeky.

Swimwear is an expected aspect of the summertime; yet a large majority of full-figured females feel frightened at the thought of shopping for swimsuits & bikinis that fit properly. These women even contemplate about wearing caftans by the swimming pool or at the beach instead of looking unappealing. Designers and shopkeepers have indentified the fashion problems of the overweight woman, and are at last featuring a wide assortment of stylish bathing suit designs in bigger sizes, & one of the best places to find such swimwear is to acquire swimwear on the Web.

Plagiarism Peddlers?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:03 am

I am amazed at what some people will do to increase their web site content.

Specifically, I have noticed a trend on at least one particular freelance site whereby someone will say they have a group of articles that they want to have rewritten. Okay, I haven’t seen the articles but I have wondered if they are someone else’s articles or if they are the employer’s material needing an update?

I belong to this particular freelance site and have been disappointed — for the most part — with many of the employers posting work. Some are legitimate, but many seem to be looking for poorly written articles or rewrites of existing articles. In addition, some proposals want fully researched and fresh material written for the princely sum of $10 or less per article.

Get real.

Personally, I stay away from these purveyors of plagiarism and stick with those employers who are looking for more than a quick fix for their poor performing site. If you want junk, your site will look and read like junk; there is simply no way of ethically getting around this point. Furthermore, you get what you pay for.

If you are a professional writer, I hope you are holding up conventional copyright standards. If you aren’t then you are simply contributing to much of the regurgitated garbage now circulating on the internet. End of story.
