Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:42 am

Fantasy. All that is a fantasy put forward around the basis that increased blood flow would combat hair loss. If merely it was that easy.

Smoking stunts your hair growth.

Fact! Yes, this one is FACT as smoking destroys hair follicles, interferes with blood and hormone circulation within the scalp & increases production of hair shrinking oestregen. Nonetheless another reason to give up!

Eating bread crusts puts hairs around the chest.

Fact! Yes, and not primarily your chest. The reason being that bread crusts enjoy 8 times more antioxidants than the rest of the loaf. Fact finding shows that antioxidants are also a vital part of increasing scalp circulation and creating melanin, the hormone that makes your hair thicker.

The more sex one enjoy the less hair you lose.

Fantasy! One don’t have to consider too hard to realise how this myth will probably have started and many balding men have perpetuated. Variations of all this myth comprise of the rumour that chemicals released during sex should cause hair loss. Again, there is no scientific proof to this however there is no doubt that men suffering hair loss will often ensure this fantasy is around for many years to come.

Baldness shows how smart people are.

Fact! All that is not a fantasy put forward by balding scientists with white coats, then again are in fact true. The higher your levels of brain growth protein, the more potential it is for one’s hair to fall out. Further on this when those scientists decidedly finally get their brain cells firing.

Does short hair cut makes your hair grow back thicker.

False! Any hair above skin level is actually dead, therefore cutting it short has no cause on the thickness or strength of hair growing back. The reason for this fantasy is that short, bristly hair may enjoy the apperance of being thicker, but once it grows the TRUE state of affairs are revealed.

In the end, if you really want a full head of hair it is perhaps very best to see a professional. One organization that has made a name for itself through using sports stars & celebrities to promote the fact that being bald is not cool is Advanced Hair Studio. Bluff like You Mean it

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 pm

poker is game where bluffing about your hand is a time-honored tactic. All poker players bluff at the casino sometimes to steal the pot.

How do you execute a successful bluff? How can you fool other poker players into believing you? It’s wise to use the bluff strategy sparingly. Don’t make a lot of naked bluffs – based on nothing – and instead use the semi-bluff with a hand that can improve. Sometimes you will make your hand, and you’re no longer bluffing. And, yes, the other times you’ll lose. If you have to show your hand, then other players will know you bluff. You can use that against them later when you do have a big hand.

What about making a plain old naked bluff with nothing? This is hard to pull off, and the fewer people in the hand, the more likely a bluff is to succeed. You’re much more likely to successfully bluff against only one or two players than five or six. If you want to steal the pot with a pure bluff with rags in the your hand, then your best tactic is to execute your betting action with strong confidence. Your demeanor must convey that you believe you have the monster winning hand.

Bet out big, be steady and announce your action in a strong voice. Sit back, relax and act as if it’s a done deal and you believe you are already the winner.

Tools of Thinking: The Value of Writing Everything!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:23 pm

Whoever said, “the pen is mightier than the sword” was using what’s known as a metaphor. Metaphors are one of my most favorite tools in writing because it involves using a comparison of things out of context of the way things are generally viewed. Don’t worry though, I won’t attempt to use a plethora of pronouncements or a multitude of metaphors just to show I can color my writing. However, that “mightier than the sword” expression may come up a time or two.

Imagine if you will you’re holding a sword in your hand. You look at its blade as it glistens as it reflects whatever available light there is. It’s sharp, has a cutting edge, pointed, and well crafted even to the handle. You could easily go on and on with your own idiomatic expressions. It suffices to say that writing requires a thought process that brings the presence of mind at the moment something occurs and allows you to retain that moment of genius. Thus people say he’s sharp!

I mentioned genius because after all; what is thought? It’s the result of introspection. It’s the careful consideration of a matter in order to derive a conclusion. Those conclusions then become a part of you. That’s why it’s important to write it down. You become inspired to inspire others with your point of view.

People believe what they read you know. This fact is supported by the whole host of written material that is available since the beginning of time. Society has been formed, structured, lead, revolutionized and persuaded by the written word. It should go without saying then that you could program your own thought processes by recording events, feelings, ideas, dreams, etc. on paper thereby creating a tangible value for your own destiny.

In other words, everything from reminder notes to love letters, poetry to journals can become a major tool in bettering your best. By chronicling your past successes, dreams and goals and re-reading them daily, you have the building blocks for furnishing that massive room; “the room for improvement!”

The Tools of Thinking

Although words and language are used for communication, they are primarily tools of thinking. So by writing down your ideas you can keep your own life in context. Then throw in a few of your own metaphors. This written context allows you to alter the content of your life and those in your life.

You see as you write down all the events and experiences of your life, the growth will be evident right before your very eyes. Like a mirror, your life will glisten for all to see. And just like you need your reflection to get dressed for the day to ensure that your clothes are straight, a written statement of how your day will go will help with your ability to be presentable for your own success. It’s clarity!

Yes, clarity is power. When you record ideas, thoughts, goals, desires and even statements you wish to say you become unstoppable. Besides, writing in your own style will allow you to leave something for the world to remember you by. That’s the whole idea of finding your purpose.

That’s my purpose in writing this book. To help more and more people empower themselves to their highest levels of personal greatness and then make it better!

Assign yourself Writing time

The best way to discipline yourself to write is to begin by writing at the same time each day. Whether it’s in the morning after prayer and breakfast or in the evening before bedtime, writing is both a helpful tool to success and a great stress reliever.

Here’s a suggestion: Try writing with your non-writing hand (i.e. left hand for right-handers and right hand for left-handers) not to save, just for cleansing when you’re stressed or sad or angry. It’ll make a big difference in your day.

Then start assigning time to write to your family or friends or associates. Next thing you know you’ll become a disciplined writer and considered very conscientious by others. After all an unexpected thank-you note could really make someone’s day.

Record your daily renewal. Jot down your growth in the color green. Write affirmations to yourself. Something like: “I renew my commitment to personal growth. I will love myself first so that I’ll have more to give to others!”

Accumulate all the incremental advantages you can by writing everything you hear, learn and are impressed with in your own words. Then it becomes yours! You’ll increase your word power the more words you use. The more you build your competitive edge, the easier it becomes to win. If you have to, get out the thesaurus and the Webster’s and learn two new words a day. As the song said: “Word Up!”

Remember, words are things; therefore thoughts are things! Preserve them, protect them, and make them your own. Use them to heal, to empower and create a better world for yourself, your family and those you have yet to meet.

Now make a note of that!

Fake It!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:01 am

I was feeling pretty low, actually miserable, come to think of it.

It was the night before I was scheduled to deliver a major speech in Las Vegas, and if you’ve ever presented there, you know there are a million distractions. Audiences aren’t always in the best frame of mind when they’re about to hear your ideas at eleven in the morning.

Anyway, I was particularly out of sorts about this presentation, because I was doing it as a favor, more or less, and I just wasn’t looking forward to it. The night before, I decided to leave the hotel and walk the half-mile or so across the street to the next hotel to eat their special steak dinner.

The line was long, so a fellow in front of me asked if I wanted to share a table to get seated earlier, and I agreed, providing he didn’t want to talk. I said it in jest, but given my mood, I was more or less on the level, and he laughed and agreed.

We introduced ourselves, and as it turned out, he was in town to film a major movie, and he had a big role in it, so the conversation wasn’t dull. I mentioned that I had some acting background and told him about my speech the following day, and my foul mood.

He asked if I wanted his advice about it, and I said, sure.

Looking right into my eyes, he said very simply, “Act!”

I didn’t get it.

“Act,” he repeated. “You’re just going to have to go in there and act like you really want to do it. You know how to act, so act enthusiastic!”

Have you ever heard something that is so basic, so simple, that you doubt its validity, even though it makes perfect sense?

This was one of those moments.

He was right, of course. I had forgotten how to act.

I was so busy giving in to my own, genuine feelings, however counterproductive, that I had overlooked the simple fact that there is an alternative.

Instead of forsaking the speech, I should have been faking it!

I don’t mean faking the content. I was more than up to speed with that. I just needed to fake the attitude.

It’s the same, sage advice given by Dale Carnegie: “Act enthusiastic, and you’ll become enthusiastic!”

My college speech teacher, who was one of Carnegie’s first contract instructors, said it this way: “If you’re enthusiastic, an audience will forgive nearly anything. If not, they’ll forgive nothing!”

So, I woke up the next day, adjusted my attitude, and delivered one heck of a speech, if I dare say so. And just tonight, before hearing a chamber orchestra, I listened to a professor discussing Mozart.

His enthusiasm was so overwhelming that I enjoyed his talk immensely, despite the fact that he was disorganized and ran out of time.

Maybe, he was faking it. I’ll never know.

But does it matter?

Setting Goals in Online Article Writing Submissions; Case Study

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:52 am

This is a case study in the way in which you must define your goals in order to attain them. Here is an excerpt from a goal I had set as an online article writer to submit articles to the top premier free online article submission website:

“On October 27, 2005 at 8:30am, I, Lance Winslow, committed to have 3000 articles by January 1, 2006 and 750,000 article views; at the time I had only 2575 articles and 610,000 articles views.”

With regards to this lofty goal I stated; “This is going to be a tough one indeed, some say impossible, yet something inside is saying “oh yeah, watch me!” Time will tell” and the race had begun.

Now then on January 1, 2006 and I had surpassed this goal and now have 3333 articles written. I have surpassed that goal by 333 articles and written 758 articles since that goal was made in roughly three months time. Instead of 750,000 article views, action has rewarded me, as action always rewards life; with 844,800 article views. Thus surpassing my goal by 94,800 article views. This is 235,000 article views in about 3-months. Actually the goal, which was set for 3000 articles was accomplished on November 19 and I did not write an article for 3 weeks and resumed again on December 15 and write 333 articles to finish out the year. On December 1 my article views surpassed my goals a month early, thanks to EzineArticles.com and my robust article posting campaign.

I would like to make a point here. I am not a writer, yet if a non-writer can do this, then anyone can. I indicated that time would tell and indeed it has, I have surpassed my goals that others said was impossible. I have surpassed these goals by a wide margin; you can too. For those who tell others it cannot be done, I say to you; “Oh yah, watch us! Time, that’s right; Time will tell.” Tell me your goals for 2006 are you going to make them happen or tell others they cannot achieve theirs? Think on this in 2006.

5 Simple Ways to Fail at Article Marketing

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:03 am

Content is king. There’s no question that good content delivers qualified traffic. Traffic is the first step to getting new customers. New customers are the first step to more income.

It’s true, article marketing is very difficult to get wrong or to screw up – but there are some folks who really need failure in their lives. So, for those poor souls who simply can’t abide success, I have put together this list of five simple rules to ruin your article marketing campaigns.

1) Write an ad and call it an article
This is the biggest one, so it’s first in the list. Write a 500 word benefit statement about your product, service, or website. Don’t put any of that pesky “interesting content” that readers want to read – and editors want to publish. Just talk about the wonderful things that happen when a reader becomes your customer.

Make sure you include several self-serving links within the body of your article, because how else will someone be able to find your site? Don’t limit yourself to simply putting your links in the resource box (where they belong) instead, make sure to litter your article with self-serving links. Oh, and be sure to do it in the most distracting manner possible.

By submitting advertising and calling it an “article”, you can be certain that editors and publishers will reject your submissions. That will keep readers from getting to your article, and it will prevent you from getting links back to your sites. It’s a terrific way to destroy your campaign.

2) Use your keyword *AS* the title
This one is related to the above, so it comes next. Don’t bother writing an eye-catching headline that will engage a reader – instead use your preferred keyword as your headline. For instance, use “Fish Tanks” as the headline, instead of “How to Keep your Fish Tanks Clean Without Harsh Chemicals”

You see, that second title might actually get someone to publish your article, resulting in links to your site. Who needs that? The second title might also get a reader to click into your article, resulting in a qualified visitor to your site. Oh the HORROR!

To ensure that your campaign is as ineffective as possible, use a single keyword term as your title.

3) Write for a spiderbot and not for a person
Moving right along, as long as we’re talking about keywords, make sure that your article repeats your keyword phrase at least once in each paragraph. Better yet – to really make your campaign fail, put it in every sentence.

Keyword stuffing is one of several “Black Hat SEO” techniques that have been known to get sites banned from Google and the other search engines.

No publisher of a content site wants their site to get banned by the search engines, so by stuffing your keyword into the article in as many ways as possible, you can rest assured that the publisher will skip your article. That way, you’ll get neither links nor visitors to your website. It’s the very picture of failure. Nice work!

Also, since the article is written for spiderbots and not for humans, even the article sites that publish everything without review won’t be able to save the campaign. This is great news for those who need failure.

An article that isn’t interesting won’t convert readers (who have very short attention spans) into visitors to your site. Click click, they’re away from the article and onto a more interesting page.

So that your campaign will fail as impressively as possible, write a boring, monotonous article and incorporate as many black hat SEO techniques into your articles as possible. You won’t get any traffic at all. And customers? Of course not! Exactly the ticket for those who need to fail.

4) Use pre-written, canned, re-brandable content
That’s right, we mustn’t forget the lazy marketer’s method. Imagine this – pay someone to give you a bunch of bland articles that they’ve already sold to hundreds, if not thousands of other Internet marketers. Then, put your name on it, and try to submit it to article sites as an original article.

Do you remember when you’d open your email and all of your friends had sent you the same Internet joke? Each of your friends thought they had discovered it and that it was new. You knew better.

That’s how content publishers feel when they get the latest canned article pretending to be original content. By the time they’ve seen that article for the zillionth time, they won’t even look at it again.

If you want to go broke online, use public domain or rebrandable articles that have already made the rounds of the article sites and submit it as your own. That way you keep from getting the free links and visitors to your website that might cause you to become successful in spite of yourself.

5) Tease instead of teach
Now this one is only for the truly savvy failures out there. Teasing readers instead of providing good content is one of the most advanced article marketing techniques for those who want to destroy their businesses.

With this one, you can completely avoid all four of the other techniques and still manage to ruin your article marketing campaigns.

A tease is one of those articles that says “I can tell you how to…” but then never gets around to telling the reader how. The only way to find out how is to visit the author’s website, buy the author’s product, download the author’s ebook, join the author’s affiliate program, etc. There isn’t any actionable information in the article itself.

Since articles are meant to inform readers, skipping the teaching part and simply teasing them is a great way to decrease your readership, quash your publishing ratio, and fail on a grand scale.

Conclusion
So there you have it, five simple ways to ruin an otherwise foolproof article marketing campaign. If you absolutely need your business to fail, make sure you write ads, use a keyword instead of an interesting title, repeat your keywords monotonously in your article, don’t bother creating interesting original content, and tease your readers instead of teaching them.

That will guarantee that your articles aren’t picked up by the directories, can’t be found by Google, don’t provide links to their sites and don’t convert readers to visitors.

How To Write A Profit Pulling Article

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:34 am

Having an article published is one of the fastest and easiest ways to build your credibility as an industry expert. At the end of the each article you are given the opportunity to gain free exposure for your online business or affiliate program.

As more and more people realize the true power of having your article published, the Internet has become saturated with them. Everywhere you turn there are plenty of articles to choose from, making it tougher to get yours noticed, let alone read.

If you can’t get your article noticed, then it won’t be read, therefore, no free exposure or profits. But getting your article noticed is only the beginning, you also need to hold your reader’s attention with good quality content.

In this article we are going to go over the key elements of writing a succesful article and how to get them noticed. We will also go over how to turn an article into an unstoppable profit generator, even if you don’t have your own product or service. That’s right, you don’t need your own product or service to take advantage of this golden opportunity.

Research Before Choosing A Topic

When most writers write their articles, they only write about what they want to write about. This is not an effective way to write an article. The most effective and recommended way to write an article, is to write one on a topic that your targeted market is already interested in. To find out what kind of article your targeted market is interested in, will require some research.

You should always do the research before you actually pick a topic to write about. When researching for your article you should try going to forums that cover your targeted market. Observe to see what they are talking about and even looking for. The best approach to use, is to find a problem, then write an article that resolves the problem.

By using this approach you are showing your dedication as a problem solver. When you help people resolve their problems and/or endeavors, you will strengthen your credibility and then the profits will soon follow.

Article Title

Choosing the title of your article will be one of the most important decisions you will make and will determine whether or not it will be read. You need to take your time, when it comes time for you to select an article title and it will require you to do some brainstorming.

Your article title should reach out and grab the reader’s attention and compell them to want to read it immediately. The best thing to do when trying to come up with an article title is to write the biggest benefit that your reader will receive while they are reading it. The biggest benefit may not be the exact article title, but it is a good place to start.

When I choose a title for an article I write down several before I intially select a one. So don’t choose just one title, write down several different ones, get the feel of the word variations, and tweak the weak areas.

Content

Most of the articles out there are nothing more than an abstracted sales pitch or material that does not contain any valuable information, therefore is useless to the reader. The best way to get your article read, is to educate the reader. Any good article will be educational to their readers and have some sort of value. If you can’t sell your article, than don’t publish it.

If you publish a poorly written article, then people will not read it. This will have an impact on your credibility and on any future articles you publish, so do it right the first time by educating them.

Promote

If you want to make some cash with your article, then at the end of it, will be the time to promote your product, service, or affiliate program. Make sure that the product, service, or affiliate program is relevant to the article, you’d be suprised at how many people get this wrong.

Not sure, let me give you an example, I previously wrote an article that was entitled “The Wrong Email Format Can Destroy Your Offer”. In this particular article I discussed the advantages and disadvantages of text and html email formats. At the end of the article I presented an autoresponder that is capable of performing both formats.

If you promote a product, service, or affiliate program that corresponds with the article, your chances of getting a click through is very high. If you don’t have a product or service that corresponds with the article, then I recommend finding an affiliate program that does.
