Rackcards: Designing Rackcards
When promoting your business or service, rackcards can give you a great range of clients and in turn give you great results. Rackcards are like brochures that are held in a rack that can be placed in all different types of public places. Here are some helpful tips or guidelines to follow to help your rackcards get noticed.
Colors:
Rackcards main objective is to get noticed, my suggestion is to use bright colors. Using bright or vibrant colors along with great graphics will attract the eye of all those walking by. Choose a colorful layout with full color graphics so that your cards are something that potential customers will want to pick up and read.
Size
Make sure that your rackcards will fit in the rack holder. You need to look at your competitors, see what size their cards are and make sure yours compares. You don’t want it to be small and hard to take, or fall behind another business’s cards, and you can’t have it too big so that it seems overwhelming.
Folds
If you have information that you want on the rackcard but want more room, experiment with folds. Like a brochure folding allows you to add more information without giving up in space. Test each different fold to see which will be easiest for the customer to handle.
Full Bleed
If you have really stunning pictures, which is a definite must do, one way to help them stand out is to do a full bleed on your rack card. This involves the design going all the way to the edge of the template. Talk to your local rackcard printing company about the qualifications that a full bleed needs to make sure that you get the results that you are picturing.
