Hetty the Desktop Hoover is the female version of Henry the Desktop Hoover. The only difference between the two is that she is pink instead of red and has eye lashes. Not real eye lashes though, they are just painted on. This is a novelty item that has been around for about 30 years and it doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon. These cute little vacuums are just too adorable to stop making them.

They are mostly used as a novelty item but they do have some practical uses. The vacuum actually works. It’s hard to believe that a vacuum that can fit in your hand would actually work but it does. The main use is for your desktop normally where your computer is since you can buy in two different version, either USB or AA battery powered. I’m sure it would be pretty difficult to clean in your kitchen with it if you were using the USB powered one unless you want to drag your computer around everyone. If that’s the case though and you want to use it to clean those hard to reach spots then I highly recommend the battery operated one.

The vacuum size is extremely small with a Height of 22.0cm, Width of 11.5cm, and a Depth of 12.5cm. This size puts the cute vacuum cleaner at around .1 kg. Due to different manufactures there are 2 different versions of the battery powered vacuum. Although I’m sure there is not much different about them one of them takes 2 batteries while the other takes 3. I’m guessing that the 3 battery powered hoover is the high powered one used for industrial size desktops.

Hetty the desktop Vacuum Cleaner is a great gift for anyone. Most of the time the vacuum will probably never get used but people will still like to look at it. The appeal of it is really not the function it does; it is just the product itself.
