Shakira’s work to help bankrupted kids has been rewarded with a gong from the United States . The thirty three years old frontman who works for The Shoeless Foundation, provided nourishment to above six thousand youngsters in her natal country, Colombia.
On Wed. , in Geneva, the She Wolf singer was presented with the Gong of Social Justice for Peace in one event that was a part of the UN’s World Day of Social Justice party.
The crooner was named by work chief Juan Somavia a “true envoy for kids and younger people, for quality education and social justice”. “It’s not so late to keep our guarantee to our youngsters, but we must act now. Together, we will be able to make education and decent work for all a fact, Shakira declared after accepting the award.
